As a soloist and collaborative pianist, Yingqi has performed in venues including Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, The DiMenna Center for Classical Music, Hopkinton Center for the Arts, Piano Craft Gallery, M. Steinert & Sons, Falcetti Pianos Performance Hall, and university recital halls in the United States and abroad. Her recent programs include solo recitals, lecture-recitals, chamber music performances, collaborative piano engagements, and community-based concert presentations.
Her doctoral research, The Integration of Western Compositional Techniques and Traditional Chinese Folk Music in Piano Works of Jianzhong Wang, reflects her interest in connecting performance, research, and cross-cultural musical understanding. This work also informed her lecture-recital East Meets West: Fusion in Jianzhong Wang's Piano Works.
Yingqi's recent recognition includes Second Place in the College Students and Professional Musicians Category of the American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition 2026 and Second Prize in the 2025 World Music Competition of the Charleston International Music Competition. She has also received awards in earlier piano competitions in China, including the Beijing Mozart International Youth Piano Competition and the Tiangong Music Award.
As an educator, Yingqi teaches students of different ages and levels in private, school, and community settings. Her teaching combines strong technical foundations, musical expression, repertoire development, and performance preparation. She is active in the Greater Boston music community and is a member of organizations including the Music Teachers National Association and the New England Piano Teachers' Association.
Through Dolce Piano and Music LLC, Yingqi is available for private piano instruction, recital and audition preparation, collaborative piano, lecture-recitals, concert engagements, and event music.
